Thank you for choosing FlavorFile ("the App"). This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our recipe storage app. Your privacy is very important to us, and we are committed to protecting it.

1. Information Collection and Use

The App is designed to help you store and manage your personal recipe collection. All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data over the internet.

Specifically, the App stores the following types of information:

• Recipe titles, ingredients, and instructions

• Cooking times and serving sizes

• Recipe images you choose to add

• Favorite recipes and any preferences you set

The App also provides a recipe import feature using website URLs. When used, this feature only accesses the specified website to retrieve recipe content. The data is stored locally and is not transmitted beyond your device.

We request access to your device’s photo library only when you choose to add images to your recipes. No photos are accessed or stored without your explicit permission.

2. Data Storage

All recipe data is stored directly on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This includes:

• Recipe content you enter

• Imported recipes via URLs

• Attached recipe photos

• Favorited recipes and preferences

By default, we do not collect or access this data, and it is not backed up to any external servers or cloud services managed by us. However, if you use iCloud device backup, your data may be backed up as part of your general device backup.

3. Data Security

Because all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's protection measures. We recommend enabling device encryption, using strong passcodes, and keeping your operating system up to date to enhance data security.

The App does not collect or store data on any remote servers.

4. Photo Library Access

The App may request access to your photo library when you choose to attach an image to a recipe. This access is only granted with your explicit permission. The App does not access or scan your photo library without action from you.

5. User Control

You have full control over the data you enter into the App. You may:

• Add, edit, or delete recipes at any time

• Choose whether to attach images

• Manage your device’s photo permissions

• Remove all data by uninstalling the App

No user account or registration is required to use the App.

6. Third-Party Services

To respect your privacy and offer a focused experience, the App does not integrate any third-party services. Specifically:

• No advertisements are displayed

• No analytics services are used

• No behavior is tracked

• No data is shared with third parties

7. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.

8. Data Deletion

To delete your data:

• You may manually delete individual recipes from within the App

• Uninstalling the App will remove all data stored on your device

Because we do not collect or store any data remotely, no server-side deletion is necessary.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected by the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically for any changes.
