Thank you for choosing My 1st Year ("the App"). This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our baby tracker app. Your privacy is very important to us, and we are committed to protecting it.
1. Information Collection and Use
The App is designed to help you track and analyze your baby's feedings, diaper changes, sleep patterns, developmental milestones, height growth, and journal entries. All data you enter into the App is stored locally on your device. The App does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data over the internet.
However, to improve our services and provide a better user experience, we have integrated third-party services:
Google AdMob - We use Google AdMob to display third-party ads within the App. AdMob may collect and use data in accordance with its privacy policy to show personalized ads. For more information, please refer to the Google AdMob Privacy Policy
Google Analytics and Firestore for Firebase - We use Firebase Analytics to track user engagement and analyze app usage. This helps us understand how users interact with the App and improve its functionality. Data collected by Firebase Analytics is used in accordance with Google's privacy policy. 2. Data Storage
All data entered into the App is stored directly on your device. This includes:
Feeding logs
Diaper change logs
Sleep logs
Developmental milestones
Growth data
Journal entries
By default, we do not have access to this data, and it is not backed up to any external servers or cloud services. However, you now have the option to sync your data to our secure server and share it with a partner. Participation in this feature is entirely voluntary and requires your explicit consent. Please ensure you regularly back up your device to prevent data loss.
3. Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device, its security is dependent on your device's security measures. We recommend enabling device encryption, using strong passwords, and regularly updating your device’s operating system to the latest version to enhance security. When data is synced to our server, we implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.
4. Push Notifications
The App may send push notifications to remind you of upcoming feedings, and reminders to journal. These notifications are generated locally on your device and are not sent or processed by any external servers.
5. User Control
You have complete control over the data you enter into the App. You can edit or delete any entries at any time. If you choose to uninstall the App, please note that all data stored within the App will be deleted from your device. If you have opted to sync your data to our server, you can delete your account in the App to also delete your data from our server.
6. Third-Party Services
To enhance the user experience, the App integrates the following third-party services:
Google AdMob - Displays third-party ads within the App.
Google Analytics for Firebase - Tracks user engagement and app usage.
Google Firestore - Optionally sync your data to our server
These services may collect data as described in Section 1.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App and are effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
